Tried It All lyrics

[Verse 1:]
I remember the day when I
Took Him in my heart and all my old ways denied
Hey and my old friends sayin I
Wasn t the same made a change in my life
Oh felt like a bum in the slum
No control on my tongue and I cursed and I lied
I played the game for the fame
I was lame for the dames and the devil was my ally
I was in jail made bail and the demons in my head
Made me do something stupid
I was in love wit my girl, but we didn t get along, so I blamed it on the Cupid
Let unemployment hunt me
Didn t nobody want me answer my major
When I tried everything, everything didn t work
Then I finally tried the savior

[Chorus:]
Hay I done tried it all
Runnin in the streets, I done tried it all
Goin to the club, I done tried it all
Tryin to play the thug, I done tried it all
Oh, after I tried the rest I was trippin cause I should ve tried the best
Runnin with a no, I should ve tried a yes
Open up my heart and then my mouth confessed, yes

[Verse 2:]
I thought I d recover quickly, but without
God my life was still a little tricky
Hay and I wasn t really picky living for lust
Thank God the girly wasn t sickly
Oh I turned around, I was sound cause the Lord that I found
Man, His love just hit me, I can t deny I was high
This is good, you should try
But it s not the sticky-icky
Now I m a happy camper
Finally changed my pamper, ready for the throw down
Yeah, I m a bold soldier nothing to hide like a brother on the low down
I tell them all worldwide, inside, outside, Internet, on the cable
When I tried everything, everything didn t work
But the Holy One is able

[Chorus:]
Hay I done tried it all
Runnin in the streets, I done tried it all
Tryin to play the thug, I done tried it all
Goin to the club, I done tried it all
Oh, after I tried the rest I was trippin cause I should ve tried the best
Runnin with a no, I should ve tried a yes
Open up my heart and then my mouth confessed, yes

[Bridge:]
Yes, I never know how good Your love could be
But now I see my life is so much better then I ever dreamed
You rescued me
