Preacher s Son lyrics

mmmmmm
billy ray was a preacher s son
and when his daddy came to visit he d come along
when they gathered round the table talking
thats when billy would take me walking
through the back yard we d go walking
then he d look into my eyes
lord knows to my surprise

the only one who could ever reach me
was the son of a preacher man
the only one boy who could ever teach me
was the son of a preacher man
yes he was, he was,
oohh yea

how well did i remember
the look that was in his eye
stealing kisses from me on the slide
learning from eachothers knowing
look n to see how much we re growing

the only one who could ever reach me
was the son of a preacher man
the only one boy who could ever teach me
was the son of a preacher man
yes he was, he was,
oohh yea, yeah yeah
