First Day Of School lyrics

The summer was over I was back to school
It had been a good one I was looking

real cool
Down at the lake I fell in love twice
I was ready for anything yeah except

advice

And he came walking down the hall

looking so cool
Jeans riding on his hips his eyes a deep

blue
I dropped my books my heart skipped
And when he bent down to help me he

touched my hand yeah

And he said what?s your name
Hey I asked you first- my cool and

confidence it usually works
Then came the words that knocked me on

my ass
He said I?m Mr. Connor and this is my

class

Oh on the first day of school I hit on

Mr. Connor
I fell fast yeah I fell so hard
He got to me right from the start
Mr. Connor did it good yeah he stole my

heart

I don?t give up easy I knew it was a lie
He looked so young in his faded Levis
I said lets skip yeah we could just bail
He said if I did that they have to put

me in jail

Oh on the first day of school I hit on

Mr. Connor
I fell fast yeah I fell so hard
He got to me right from the start
Mr. Connor did it good yeah he stole my

heart

It was too true he was a teacher
It?s not fair he could?ve been a keeper
Graduation is so far way
And I can?t wait for that day

Oh on the first day of school I hit on

Mr. Connor
I fell fast yeah I fell so hard
He got to me right from the start
Mr. Connor did it good yeah he stole my

heart
